I thought I spent a lot on stainless stuff for brewing. She comes in from Vegas last night, where her and her sister went to go to a big yearly hair show. I now present her new set of Hattori Hanzo (i'm not even kidding) shears.

From top right going counter clockwise, $776, $550, $457, $457., they did throw in the straight razor for free.

At least she can write them off and make money with them.

These things make a new Blichmann look sheepish.

They give you the straight razor for free so you can slit your wrists when you get the credit card bill....:cross:

Nice, I did get and e-mail from Discover saying a massive charge was going through.:(

Yes, but they have a swively gyroscopie thumb hole. I have no idea how she even uses them, the just fly all over the place without moving your hand.

So, $3k on scissors is basically what you're saying.

Does she own the salon?

Well, more like 2k....

She rents a single suite in a big building full of individual suites. So she's pretty much the owner operator. She's booked solid 8 months in advance and has over 400 clients, so it's all good.

I got as far as reading that the first pair was $750 before i threw up. I never made it further than that.

My mother always told me to watch out for hairdressers and waitresses. Apparently she was wrong.

And a lawn care person would spend less to cut some grass??

It's a business investment, and compared to the cost of carpal tunnel surgery, it might end up being a steal.

Impressive. I've never heard of him aside from Kill Bill.

When you make your living using tools, you get what you pay for. You should see what I spend on the Snap On truck... They sure are shiny.

Your not kidding my bil is a Ford Sr. Master Tech. The Snap-On man contributed a great deal in the demise of his first marriage. He has his tools insured for just over $100,000.
