Why We Brew...

Man... I gotta be honest... I am so freakin' pysched I make beer on days like this. I've had a non-stop, kick-me-in-the-nuts type of work week.... for ONCE IN THE WHOLE F'N SUMMER it is gorgeous out here in Mass on a Friday afternoon...

ok... so I snuck a Seirra Brown Saison (not a huge fan to be honest) and a Mad Elf at lunch but I gots 7 beers on tap at home (6 of mine and The Duchess) and I CAN... NOT... F'IN... WAIT... to get home.

Do I make the best beers?? No... I admit I don't... But I like 'em and TODAY is one of the reasons I brew. I'm gonna go home... have some friends over... our kids are gonna jump in the pool... we're gonna get the grill going and I'm gonna have some of MY beer..

until I fall down.

NO ONE cares... and if someone cares... in the immortal words of White Goodman... they can cram it up their cram hole.

The only reason I have all of my taps flowing is that I made an obnoxious amount of beer of our annual pig roast and we have a TON left over. Which is not a bad thing at all!

Maybe Cape has some sort of weird body chemistry that makes him horny every time he gets in the water. Thus, swimming with kids is creepy. I don't know, just a stab in the dark.

That said, I'll be sure to keep my distance from the kids when I go in the pool this evening.

Now I don't want to go anywhere else. I have a grill, 4 taps, various bottles, a great yard, movies... Lets stay in tonight honey!

My beer isnt the best either... but it is the best in the neighborhood.

dam straight... I crank out my required number of widgets.. and then some... during the week (and I'm still cranking them out right now) and if I want to have one (or two on the rare occasion) I don't see that as a problem and I am very confident that my boss wouldn't either.

Seriously though, with the weekend coming all I can think about is Black IPA and Allagash that is sitting in the fridge. Can't wait.

Nothing wrong with a staycation.

No kidding, it was already a long week last Monday morning. My pipeline's empty but that won't stop me from drinkin', swimming, and brewing. Brewed 10 last weekend and brewing 20 this weekend to rectify the pipeline issue.
