I brewed a partial mash california steam from midwest supplies.
This is the grain bill:
3.3 lb. of Light Malt Extract, 3.5 lb. American 2-row malt, 8 oz. Carapils, 8 oz. Caramel 40L.
I bottled it last week and it looked like what I THOUGHT a california common would look like. Like an amber brown color obviously the beer gets lighter after puting it in the bottle.
I poured one yesterday to see how it was coming along and it looked like a golden/yellow color. Can someone explain this to me?? I also remember taking a final gravity reading and it was pretty low. I did secondary this.
