I just got a new SS Brewtech 15 G Kettle. I usually do 6 Gallon batches but really wanted to have the option to do doubles and larger BIAB grain bills.
I ordered the whirlpool fitting with the kettle, and placed it in the manufactured hole. It is sitting at about the 5 gallon mark, maybe a touch higher... During my test run (at 6 gallons), the whirlpool water splashed out quite a bit. It is not really in the ideal place for my typical batches.
I am trying to figure out something better. I think the Spincycle attachment at brewhardware maybe the way to go. With a 12" drop it will take me to the 3.5 gallon mark using the recirc. port on the top of the kettle.
Does that seem like a better option? Has anyone used this kettle with SS's attachment? I still do get a good whirlpool, I just want to set this thing up as good as I can.
Thanks!
