Which Brew Pot?

My first thought is forget the Megapot. Look at this and I would bet you it is the same pot or very similar. It seems that many vendors are essentially sourcing pots from just a few Chinese suppliers and you will save some $$$.

I bought SS ball valve and fittings from bargainfittings.com simple to install with a good step drill bit (cuts like butter).

I got a 30 quart pot from northern brew for 78.99 and it has served me well for what I needed. Personally I have no problem moving 5 gallons of wort from my burner to my house so a ball valve wasn't something I needed. Plus if you are worried about moving hot wort just leave it on the burner stand with the emersion chiller in it hooked up to an outside hose until it is cool enough.

Personally I think going cheaper on a pot for 5 gallon batches was a good idea because a year later I am looking into 15 gallon kettles so I can do 10 gallon batches...
