I'm new to the Homebrew scene. Last night I picked up my first two Corny Keg setups and asked the guy how he found them. He said he's actually found luck at Antique shops and pawn shops. This kind of blew my mind. Craigslist is the obvious answer for most, but it seems rather hit or miss if you're in a small town like I am.

I still need equipment like a dual CO2 regulator and Ball Lock connectors. While I try to keep costs down and have friends who are looking to gather as well, I'm curious as to what spots I should be looking for any type of gear. I've looked for a thread like this and haven't found much.

TIA

Regulators I have seen at pawn shops and Craigslist but often have a tank with them. Estate/yard sales will occasionally bring some interesting finds, I got 2 4 tap brass towers from one. Connectors and hoses I would just be getting from my lhbs or online as im not super interested in getting those used.

I have yet to venture into the kegging arena but plan on doing so beginning of next year when I return from deployment. I would like to buy used kegs but I plan on sticking to the bigger online retailers (northernbrewer.com, midwestsupplies.com, etc) because I trust them. Still on the fence about buying new vs. used because I'm very new to brewing and think that in the worst case the initial investment for new kegs would be worth it because of the many years I plan to put into them. But to each his own. Some folks are comfortable buying used off of Craigslist/ebay. I definitely am looking for freezers/fridge's in those arena's but with the kegs and sealing/cleanliness issues I am going to stick with the more well known online retailers. Hope this helps. Cheers.:mug:
