What's the date on this cylinder?

not hijacking but .... anyone know an average of what it costs to recertify and how long they last? I was given a full 20# steel with a date of 8-05
 
The normal DOT certification length for CO2 cylinders is 5 years (but there's a 10 year certification - it adds a star to the cert stamp).

iirc the folks that have quoted hydro test costs were in the $25 neighborhood.

But, if you're willing to swap, there's a good chance the local AirGas refill outlet will take an out-of-date cylinder without nicking you for the hydro test cost...
