sorry for this noob question but the whole things is totally new to me .
i watch many video in youtube showing how to make a beer and wine etc . it seems all instraction is the same Which leads me to this question

how you know you going to ends up with beer rathen then wine ? is it the ingredients ? is it the alcohol level ? is it the characteristic of the Liquid ?

let's take the Mango for example . i saw videos show how to make Mango Beer and other Video how to make Mango Wine and it doesn't look like any Difference in the Recipe

thanks for any help

Traditionally beer is malted barley, hops, water, and yeast.

Wine is traditionally grape juice (or other fruit juices) and yeast.

So for example, a mango beer, would have a malt bill and hops, maybe have some fruit in the boil or in the fermenter.

A mango wine would just be fruit juices that are fermented. There should be a huge difference in the recipes.

Without seeing your recipes, I don't know that I can provide specifics beyond what @Maxkling already said.

However, it's important to note that regarding online recipes there is an astounding amount of misinformation. It is quite possible that you saw two different recipe names (mango beer and mango wine) but they used the exact same process, just that one is misnamed.

To complicate further, it's possible the recipes are from different countries with differing guidelines for nomenclature.
