Hi guys

Need some help with a system. I’ve been having a clear out and I found two SS pots in the loft. They’re a couple of years old (I think) and don’t look to have been used, the element does have some limescale on though. I’ve also found two small pumps, (solar?) and a load of tubing. No controller.
Not sure what I was planning, no notes anywhere. What’s my next move? I’ve been doing 5L biab on a glass hob (takes forever to do anything) so these (I’m hoping) were a nice find.

Pot 1
30 litres
Element
Tap with tube filter on the inside
Whirlpool port with tap on the outside – used to be a dial thermometer port, mid way up the pot above the tap
Thermowell – at the bottom near the filter

Pot 2
30 litres
Tap
False bottom
Whirlpool port right near the top – straight through (no bend on the inside) with hose attached

We really need to know more about the brewing process (multi-vessel w/separate mash tun and BK, BIAB in single vessel, batch vs. fly vs. no sparge, etc.) you want to end up with, before we can recommend what you might do next.

Brew on :mug:

That would have been helpful wouldn't it :( I haven't nailed down exactly which direction to go in. I've seen a couple of different set ups that appeal to me though - the clawhammer being similar to my current method, the high gravity / blichmann k-rims style because it's interesting, adding a rims tube would be an easy option, I also like the brewha biac it seems like a smart little system if a little pricey.

I guess what I really want is ease of use, so far this has been no sparge and biab. If I started sparging I'd probably go for dunk / batch, fly seems like a pain.

Decided to go with a RIMS tube and to build that and a control panel for both elements and a pump. I'll be checking for build threads etc shortly and I imagine I'll put something up if I get stuck :)
