All right.....
I'm down to about two cases of brew and need some advice. The last two brews I did were all grain. The first was a northern brewer "American Wheat" bear. I enjoyed this one very much but felt it had no real depth, it tasted great but as soon as I swallowed it was gone....looking for something with a little more substance. The second brew was a northern brewer "Honey Kolsch". I have to admit I love this one. It just tastes good. I really don't know how to describe it....but any way I liked it.
To be honest in the past I have been a Miller, Bud, Coors guy. I started home brewing to explore what else was out there. I have bought out my local liquor stores of local micro brews. I am looking to move on down the line and brew some thing with a little more "character" than the wheat and kolsch. I am taking baby steps in my beer drinking/brewing adventure. Stouts and Porters still are not my beer hof choice...however I can have one once in a while. I'm looking to expand my pallet. I had a Nut Brown Ale by New Glarus Brewing Company in Monroe WI and loved it. I was thinking of a Nut Brown for my next brew....... Any suggestions for my next couple brews would be welcomed.
Thanks guys, you have come through in the past and I hope you can help again.
Mike......(I really like beer)

If you want a beer that is lighter in color, easy to drink, yet still complex and interesting in flavor, may I suggest Revvy's Leffe Blonde clone (a Belgian blonde ale)?

This recipe is extremely well received here on HBT. That thread has so many posts from people who have brewed and loved it. I brewed a partial mash adaptation of it, and have to say... this beer is amazing.

The beer is very accessible, even to a BMC drinker, but it has a lot going on. Spicy, a few light fruit notes, with just enough malt sweetness to make it delicious, and a slightly dry finish that makes you want to take another sip.

Awesome stuff.
