Hey all. If this is the wrong place to post this I'm sorry! I just got a Blichmann Top Tier for Christmas. I'm going to put 2 possibly 3 burners on it. I was going to use 15 Gallon Morebeer Pots (Mash Tun and Brew Kettle) I emailed Morebeer and they don't think their pots will fit on there correctly. So back to the drawing board. I like Blichmann pots and will purchase them if I have to but as we all know they're expensive. I was going to get both Morebeer pots for pretty much the same price as just one Blichmann Boilermaker Mash Tun. Can anyone recommend nice pots that will definitely sit centered on the Blichmann Top Tier burners?

I have a top tier and use the Morebeer economy pots (9 & 14 gallon) and they work just fine. There are guides on the burners to keep them centered. You just need to adjust them. My 9 gallon does not fit all that well because it's smaller then the smallest adjustment. But the 14 fits great.

i'm not sure why morebeer told you that their pots won't fit on the top tier, i'm pretty sure those pots are no wider than a keggle and that's what i use on my top tier, 3 keggles.

actually the morebeer kettles are 2 inches wider but there is more than enough adjustment on the top tier burner to accommodate that size.

They claim it will fit on the burner by itself but when the burners are attached to the top tier that its impossible to keep it centered.

I use the 15 gallon bayou classic stainless kettles with valves and brewhardware temp/sightglass. Great setup for around $200. brewhardware sells the kettles.

Thanks. I know their kettles are a little fatter then the usual ones so just scared about purchasing them after their response.

Think there's a little confusion. I meant to say I've seen our 20gal kettles, Spike Brewing brand, fit on the Top Tier. I can't speak for any other brands and fitment on the Top Tier.

I call BS. I think you talked to someone that does not know what they are talking about. The 15gallon heavy duty kettle in 14" H X18" W. The top tier will support a 30 gallon Blichmann boilermaker which is 19.7". I however have not done it myself, but can assure you there 14 gallon economy kettle (originally stated as 15 gallon) will fit just fine. I have one on a top tier right now.

Thanks. I'm going to give it a shot. I'm waiting to hear back from them on returns if there is an issue. I appreciate the feedback =)

My 20 Gal Blichmann kettle is 18" in diameter, the same as this 15 Gal pot from MoreBeer. The Blichmann burner attached to a Top Tier can hold a kettle with a max 22" diameter. I just measured it. I don't see that there would be any issue.

i have to wonder why a morebeer employee would not either know this or put you on hold and ask someone who knows, they do sell blichmann top tier stands. anyway...

Their answer was

Unfortunately, that is a product that ships directly from the supplier so we do not have one to test. However, I don't believe that they will fit as our heavy duty kettles are wider but not as tall as the Blichmann kettles. Our kettles will fit on the burner on the ground however, I think on the stand, it would not be centered. Please email me if you have any questions.

So maybe they don't know since they don't have any on them.

hmm. i see what they are thinking but just looking at a picture of a top tier you can see.... never mind. lol.

From the Blichmann website, "It fits any manufacturer's pots or kegs up to
21" in diameter and up to 30 gal, so you can reuse existing equipment."

I think they want you to buy one of there stands. Nothing wrong with that they appear to be really nice ( I have never seen one in person). I love Morebeer , I have bought several things from them. I still think whoever you talk to does not know what they are talking bout. OP posted he wants to use the 15 gallon when in fact the 26 gallon should fit as well. That is what I want to go with in the future.
