I bought some used brewing stuff and these two things were included and I was wondering if anyone knows what they are. The T-shaped thing has a schrader valve on te long end, a set screw with a rubber washer on a nut on one end and a hole on the other. I also got one of these so I assume it attaches?

Any ideas on the other thing? It's really light-weight and has a screen in it. My cats foot shown for scale :D

since homebrewers are typically very "macgyver-esque" it could be something homemade. possibly somethign like a hopback or a kettle filter.

Looks like some kind of sort of prehistoric carbonation tool. Looks like you screw it one a bottle and use a air pump to add pressure

They def look drug related, but I agree the T thing must be for pressurizing some how, and the other thing...no idea. Maybe for a blow-off tube to attach to a FV?

I'll let them both go for the right price. Maybe I'll donate them to the HB museum!

Kinda looks like a modified valve stem that hooks up to that mini shower head lookin thing to aerate the wort somehow. Maybea recirculation set up that picked up wort & sprayed it back on top to do so?

Ah! Not sure if that T thing is for Oxygenating the wort or not, but that's what I might use it for! Hookup my bike pump to it and attach some tubing on the open end. Or would that increase chances of infection? Pumping ambient air into the wort?

The supply sites,in this case NB,have in line HEPA filters for that. Get some tubing & connectors to fit the shower head thing to the stem, with the filter rigged to the tubing,& pump away.

I love the point of reference!! Gotta say, I never thought to use my cat's paw. :)

I think it is for aerating your wort with a bicycle pump.

I could be wrong, but I don't think so.

Not the sort of devices that were ever meant to fall into human hands, but, let's just say, "Welcome to the exciting world of TIME TRAVEL!"

EDIT: Some people think the flux capacitor is the key to time travel, but that's just Hollywood mumbo jumbo. Everyone knows the two key components are the temporal diffuser plate and a Norton T valve, with infinite variability...and you can forget that 1.21 gigawatts crap!!
