I just picked up a large chest freezer for 50 bucks off of craigslist. Hopefully I can start to keep up with my brewing schedule with this much fermentation room. Cheers

Planted my rhizomes excited as
Hell got centennial, cascade (across the street), Columbus, willamette, and chinook

Today... Got home from work around 11 pm, ordered a Steelhead pump from Northern Brewer and will get a free refractometer with it! Ka-ching. Anyway, had two beers tonight. Read a chapter from "The Craft Beer Revolution" today. Verified the keezer and temp controller are spot on. All in all didn't do much for beer today when you consider what a wonderful gift beer is from our benevolent universe...

took inventory of my ingredients and placed a big (for me at least) northern brewer order for enough ingredients for three more batches plus a new 6.5 gallon fermenting bucket! So much for staying small...

Stepped up my starter, took a SG reading on my Kölsch.

Made a loaf of bread with spent grains AND some homeground malted wheat. Turned out dense but man the taste is stellar!

Yeah, I made pretzel rolls with spent Maris Otter. Tasted great but was definitely dense. Next time I'll sift it a couple times and use a lighter wheat flour with it.

Since my brother was being a waffle head about brewing again ("I can't find this" and "my buckets are going to need replacing"), I got him a brand new equipment kit from my LHBS. No more excuses, but I'm sure he'll come up with some... lol!

Unclogged my keg. Got too many hops in "The Barbarian" IPA. Smells amazing though. I aint afraid of no hop!!!

I'm gonna take FG readings on both beers later. The red's been going two weeks today. The ESB seems to be finishing faster & has been in a week as of yesterday. It'd bee nice if they're both done. Gonna BBQ some ribs for mother's day today with grilled potatoes & corn.:mug:

Ordered a California Common kit (AG) and ten lbs of 2-row. Got .5 lbs of cascade and .25 lbs of centennial. Got a pack of dry Belle Saison yeast.

Ordered a 4 pack, of 3 gal Pin lock kegs, from adventures in homebrewing. Gonna brew some smaller, strong batches, to fill em up.

I am going to transfer my IPA to a secondary and my husband is finishing making my keezer so the IPA can go in there. :)

Started soaking my oak cubes in bourbon for the bourbon barrel porter I brewed Saturday.

Picked up another 6'r of SNPA to go with the remains of the 12'r I bought a couple days ago. Still got some FG samples to take. Oh,how I hate 100 mile Mondays...muggy,rainy ones in particular.

Kegged a batch of IPA, transferred under CO2 pressure. (First time)

Dry hopped in the keg with 2 oz's Citra.

Dropped an oz of citra pellets on the floor, picked up most of it. (Don't judge me)

Cleaned a carboy, and sanitized it.

Ordered a 5 sacks of grain, for a San Diego Area Group Buy (Thank you, daksin).

Brewed a saison with the remainder of my WY 3726.

Got all 3 of the boilermakers cleaned up and seals replaced in preparation for a 10 gallon sour project to be brewed tomorrow.
Gonna use ramped up dregs from a Goose Island Juliet and this years cherry harvest to rack onto.
