Drink most of it. Give the rest of it away. Now that I have a kegerator I'll probably be drinking more and giving away less.

I've been bottling (for my first 3 batches) and I'd say at least 1/2 of it goes to people who want to try a homebrew.

I am in the process of getting my keezer/taps all set up so that way if they want to try it they need to come visit (much less likely) and I get to keep more of my hard work for myself

so far my kegs are lasting ~3 weeks.

need to keep brewing....

i've discovered lagers really f**k with my pipeline....

Haven't really established a pipeline, so we still mostly drink commercial. Right now my problem is too little homebrew, not too much.

end of 2009 i had over 450 bottles in my "conditioning closet" some of it was long term again, some just waiting to be drunk. I like to keep a rotation of beer that is long term conditioning in advance of it's drinking season (ie: brew stout/porter/etc in early summer for fall/winter consumption, or higher grav ales conditioning for 6+ months), as well as some that is ready to drink more quickly (brown ales, pales, bitters, etc). always nice to have both variety and supply.

I also was prepping for the move to AG. I didn't brew for 2 months while i sought out and purchased equipment.

150 bottles? That doesn't seem like very much... Maybe I drink too much, hahaha! I have about 220 bottles right now and have 17 gallons waiting to be bottled... and I'm out of bottles (fuuuuuuuu-)

i brew it and everyone i know wants to drink it!

lol yeah, same here. I usually give a bottle of each of my brews to my friends.

I have 32 cases bottled now and 14 keged.

I brew one or two batches weekly in winter and monthly in the summer so gotta stock up now.

wow - water it down much? LOL

With an autoshipon and leaving the beer in the primary for 3 to 4 weeks, I average 48-50 beers out of 5 gallons. 50 beers x 12oz = 600oz/128oz per gallon = 4.6875 gallons of beer, leaving .3125 gallons of hard packed yeat cake :mug: No water added.

back to the OP

I usually give it away and share. I drink one to two a night so it goes a long ways for me.

It takes me a while to finish off a 5 gallon batch. I drink probably 5 beers during the week and then maybe 5 more over the weekend but it's not always homebrew.....sometimes craft.

Hmmm...interesting question. I probably consume 1/2 to 2/3 of what I brew. So far maybe 15-20% is custom-made for others. Most of the remainder is given away as gifts or when entertaining. A decent sized party at our place can result in four or five dozen being drunk; even just having a few peeps over can cost a dozen. Also a bit goes for competition entries.

I give a little bit away, but most of it gets consumed right here at home. I guess me and my friends have giant livers. A buddy and I can easily down 12 in a single brew session.
