I just got my starter kit delivered but I can't brew today because I have to go to work(I know LAME!). I am going to brew the day after christmas, my questions is what do I do with the kit of big ben pale ale I ordered. Do I keep it in the fridge or leave it out?

It will be fine either way as long as your house isn't super warm.

I'd refrigerate the extract if it's liquid, but again... for a few days its ok.

It depends....is the yeast dry or liquid? If it's liguid I would chuck that in the fridge...

More than likely, if this was a boxed kit, with dry yeast, then it sat on a shelf in a warehouse, so room temp is fine.

Wow thanks for all the quick responces. It is dry yeast so I took everyones advice and just put it in my basement it is 62 down there so it isn't too cold. The hops are pre crushed, I think, that isn't a problem is it?
