I think a lot of brewers are also builders of things. I know when you've built a thing, whether a bathroom in your house, a trellis for your tomatoes, a ceiling structure for holding wood, etc. You're proud and want to show it off, and maybe share with others who might benefit.

So here's my little contribution. I have this very heavy workbench in my garage. There are times when I want to roll it out of there. Retractable casters. Pretty sweet. When not in use, the casters kinda fold out of the way.

Hey, I like to show off.
I dabble in woodworking and electronics. Here's a pair of speakers I just completed. Cases are painted MDF. The baffles are red oak with a maple accent stripe.

I'm not strong on speaker design. I usually find a design for a specific driver and just follow the instructions. In this case I had a pair of 4" drivers for which I could find no tested designs and really want to try a Voigt Pipe style case. I gave it my best shot. I get very nice base and crisp highs, but there's a space in the upper range that just kind of disappears. Most recordings sound fine, but It's jarring on a few. I don't know much about speaker testing and sound theory, so I need to do some more work.
