What are you paying for a CO2 Tank?

Found a 20# CO2 tank on Craigslist for $50.00. Is this a good deal?

Tank is full
Has a good hydro date
Tank is steel

yes if it is aluminum. the hydro may cost you up to $25 depeding the gas place if its out and they charge you. i bought my 5# new $85, each of my 20# new ~$175 all aluminum catalina cylinders.


just read the whole post. pounce on it! the tank is heavier but who cares?

It is steel. I was thinking of just swapping it out for an aluminum tank when it's empty.

i have an attraction to 6061-t651(aluminum) and 303/304/316/416/440L(stainless).. very sexy metals.

if you plan an hauling it arround, the alumi tare# is 25.9 vs probably 45#.
