wet hopping in secondary

Wondering if anyone has any experience or advice wet hoping with freshly picked hops. soak in vodka first to kill the baddies? Blanch? what should I do to kill any bad stuff on them? thanks.

Hops are naturally sanitary...you shouldn't have any problem throwing them right in. I do it every year and I've never had any negative side effects. If you're still concerned, you can boil them in a little water for a few minutes and then add the water and hops.

Thank you. I put them in a bit of vodka just to be on the safe side and dropped them in this morning.
