I was going to bottle a strawberry blonde today, but upon opening the secondary saw that it was incredibly hazy. So I figured it was as good of a time as any to try out gelatin and see if it would clear it. I got a pan sanitized to bloom the gelatin in, but then got distracted talking to someone and for some reason got another pan down, put the gelatin and water in it, and let it set for 20 minutes. Then I brought it to 170 degrees and cooled it back down. Just as I was getting ready to pour it in my secondary I saw my sanitized pan sitting there on the counter! Doh! I only had one pack of gelatin, so I sprayed the sides of the pan down with StarSan and went ahead and poured it in. Now I'm having second thoughts and am hoping I didn't infect my beer.

Not that I can do anything about it now except bottle and see. Just dumb.

It should be fine. The ABV should protect from most nasties at this point.
