I'm new at cider making, made ciders from regular apple juice before, been making beer for a while but now I'm going to be using a concentrate for bsg. my question is what do I have to do with water? can I just use water straight from the tap? filtered water? boil the water? or do I need to just adjust ph? any tips would help. thanks

I use spring water from the store (that is, when I can find it). I add in nutrients also but nothing other than the nutrients.

I wouldn't use tap water without first getting rid of the chlorine/chloramine.

Just my 2 cents

Reverse Osmosis (RO) purified water or distilled water are the best options, followed by "spring"* water, followed by filtered/dechlorinated tap water.

*"Spring" water is not actually from a spring, just underground.
