I've been using bottled spring water to brew since I began 6 years ago and have finally decided, after to talking to several brewers in my club who use them with great results, to get a filter. Of course research was undertaken to reach this decision and of all of the conflicting info I found, this seems to be pretty straight forward about activated carbon with KDF media. This is the filter in the RV-800 inline filter that I will likely purchase. Interesting reading.
