What is the best test kit or method to determine brewing water quality?

Is it worth owning a pH probe and water quality kit?

I have an artesian well on my property, we do process it thru a iron curtain (bubble column)
I would be using this water pre softener.

I do have a 5 stage RODI as a backup option that produces zero TDS water.

Saw the water primer, where is the best place to send water for testing near WI?
Looks like a pH probe is handy?

Get a pH meter, I have cheap one from eBay and it does its job. As for testing kit, I would rather send water sample to lab.

I have fish tanks, and just recently realized I have several water testing kits at my disposal; for PH, hardness, softness, alkaline, acid, chlorine, etc....A deluxe water testing kit is only about $20 from Petsmart...
