I'm a new graduate from extract to AG and 4 days ago kegged my first three batches. One batch, I purchased a smack pack and was interested in harvesting the yeast. Work/life got in the way and I'll finally get a chance to try to "wash" it tonight. After I kegged it, I put a sanitized airlock back on it and left it be. Should be fine... Go for it.
It looks clean to me. Wash it but be prepared to use something else. When ready to go, smell it. I would imagine if it got infected it would probably smell bad. I don't really know because I have never washed a saved yeast. And, I have used some yeasts that, to me, smelled bad when fresh out of the package.
