want a good all cascade ipa pecipe

will be harvesting my cascades in a week or so and am looking for a all casade ipa recipe. i use extract and steeping grains. any help will be appreciated

Here's a simple one:

Steep at 155˚ for 30 minutes:

.75 Lb 40L Caramel

Extract:

7 Lb Light DME (or 8.4 Lb LME)

Boil Additions:

60 min - 2oz Cascade
15 min - Irish Moss/2oz Cascade
Flameout - 2oz Cascade

Dry Hop:

2oz Cascade

Final Beer Stats (7 gallon boil; 5.5 gallon fermentor volume):

OG: 1.059
FG: 1.015
ABV: 5.81%
Color: 11.56˚ SRM
IBU: 70.2 (Rager calculation)

Use a highly flocculant yeast strain for a clearer beer without filtration:

Wyeast 1272 American Ale II (clean American character)
Wyeast 1335 British Ale II (cleaner British character)

How far out do you usually dry hop this one?

I would say keep this in the primary for 8-9 days and rack onto dry hops in a secondary fermenter for 5-6 days. Not over the top bitterness, AMAZING aroma... money.

I have two ounces each of leaf Citra and Leaf Cascade and would like to try using them in a recipe like this. Is Citra good for a bittering hop? maybe:
1 oz Citra for 60 mins
1 oz Citra for 15
1 oz Cascade for 10
1 oz Cascade dry hop?

Otherwise same as above...

What is the alpha acid % of the cascades you're planning on using? When I make an 'all low AA% hop' India pale ale, I'll cheat and use a higher AA% hop for bittering. You'd need upwards of 12 oz of typical cascades (5% or so AA) to reach the appropriate IBU range for and IPA. According to BrewPal, the recipe above is 55 IBU. Try this one:

~7# light/pale DME
.75# crystal 40L

2 oz. Cascade (60min)
1 oz. Cascade (30min)
2 oz. Cascade (15min)
2 oz. Cascade (00min)
2 oz. Cascade (7 days dry hop)

2 packs wyeast 1272 American Ale II

O.G. 1.052. F.G. 1.017
ABV 6.2 IBU 69
