Im a really keen home brewer, and love all things home brew, and have read about the old "wine circles" where people would meet on a regular basis with their new tipples, and try each others brews. It sounds such a great way of getting to taste new recipes and techniques.
With the decline in home brewers, and people just chatting more on online about brewing, these circles have largely died out.
I have set up a Face Book page, to try and create something between the two, where brewers can post what brews they have ready for drinking, and arrange a swap of a bottle with a bottle of someone elses brew! All what is needed is to bottle into a plastic 500ml bottle, and post the bottles to one another.
This idea may work, yet again, might be rubbish and fall flat on its face, but people can still discuss and share recipes, or offer fruit for sale which they cannot use up that someone else might be able to turn into wine!
Anyway, if youre intesested, the address is www.facebook.com/HomeBrewBottleSwap
Thanks for reading!
