Hey guys, so I just did a ipa yesterday and today its fermentations is really vigorous, the airlock got clogged so I took it apart and installed a blowoff tube into the 3 piece airlock. and not some krausen and beer is getting into the bucket of sanitizer i have. is this normal? i put the carboy in a bucket incase it overflows overnight, i just don't want the top to blowoff haha. Any help would be greatly appreciated! thanks. This is only my 3rd brew so I'm still learning things

The yeast strain and the fermentation temperature will have an impact on the vigor of the fermentation. If the former is causing the excessive fermentation rate then there is no problem, however it is the the latter then there will likely be an impact to the flavor.

If you aren't using a water bath or swamp cooler you might want to consider it.

example oif a swamp cooler:
