Hello,

I was wondering if there's any Vessi users here. If so, I would be interested in knowing how you make your wort.

I am contemplating at using a PicoBrew Zymatic to create 2 batches (2 times 3Gal roughly) and using the Vessi to ferment and serve those 2 combined batches.

Any thoughts, and comparison to a kegerator setup (with maybe the kegsmart)?

I like the idea of transferring to the Vessi, and that's it. I also like the idea of having 3 taps on a kegerator. Hell, if money was no object, I'd just get 3 Vessis and be done with it.

Cheers,

The idea is brilliant since you can set temp and pressure for fermentation, then crash and switch to dispensing all while the vessel stays closed and absolutely free of O2.

The size and inevitable cost make it prohibitive, in my opinion, to have multiple taps. I personally have 6 taps via an upright freezer - would be difficult to have 6 vessi's. hopefully they learn from this design and make a multi-vessel version. If they made the cylinders oval or even square with sanitary welds they could probably pack 4 or more 5 gal chambers into one.

Looking forward to hearing others' experiences!

using the Northern Brewer 20% off coupon, you can get on delivered for less than $1700...

That is pretty much what I was thinking. Great, but falls short. $1700 can get you nice gear. A used huge conical.

Anyhow, anyway you could send a picture of that 6 tap keezer by any chance?

Looks great if you have lots of extra $$$ and only want to have one beer at a time...... For $1700 I could have 50 or so different beers fermenting at once in Better Bottles. Now to save up for a 50 tap keezer.

I built my chiller/ heat controlled 4 conical control system and 3 stainless conicals for less than $1,700 and thats with the brucontrol control panel running everything and controlling temps... The vessi is certianly not the best bang for the buck but I think it will appeal to the very wealthy, busy ultra organized home brewers that only need the ability to brew a beer here and there. thats what its marketed for.
Priorities just change with money when you have it and certain things can seem more justifiable ...
