Today was my very first brew day...I did a partial boil, extract Irish Stout kit from Midwest.
Everything turned out so great! From the pre day soak and cleaning, to post brew cleanup...it went without a hitch!
You can see pictures and notes from today at my blog here: http://fallsdambrewery.blogspot.com
Two things I learned from my first brew day: 1-wort chillers are completely and utterly super awesome and necessary... 2-I rule because my SG was 1.042-1.046 and I hit a 1.044 on my very first brew!
Thanks to every one of you who have helped me with my noob questions throughout this process...let's see what 2 weeks in the primary reveal! Cheers!
