If I added 15 drops Fermcap in the middle of the final boil hour, will that also prevent foaming during primary fermentation? This is a heavy ale and I know it's gonna want to foam.
 
Add one drop per gallon during your boil to prevent boil overs. Add another drop per gallon after you pitch your yeast to prevent krausen blow offs. I've used fermcap quite a bit and even on high gravity beers, this seems to work best for me. I brew six gallon batches and the most my krausen has climbed up the fermenter since i've been using fermcap is about one inch.

Yes it should still be working in the fermenter.
