Hi Everybody,
I am new to brewing and I have just found a posting for used equipment on Craigslist and need advice on whether or not this is a good deal.
For sale is a Pony Pump Keg Tap for dispensing draft beer from a keg.
I bought the tap a couple of years ago for $40 from a liquor store and used it just one time. It's practically brand new and in great shape. This is much better then renting a tap from the liquor store each time. This will pay for itself after buying the first keg.
Included is everything that you will need to dispense the beer: Pump, Tubing, and Faucet. It's also in it's original box and includes instructions on both the box as well as the pump itself. You can even see the price tag that shows I paid $40 for it.
Here are some of the other features:
One piece molded probe and body
Convenient faucet with tubing
No spritz pump seal
No foam pressure relief button
Weighs just 12 oz.
Easy Cleaning
Also included is a 1/6 Barrel (5 gallon) Keg. It is from Sweetwater Brewery, and as you can see by the pictures below it is corny keg with the top lid welded closed and a US sanke connection on the top. There's still a Sweetwater brewery sticker still on it. The keg looks a bit ugly but there's no physical damage to it at all. I've heard that some people can still use the sanke kegs for homebrewing so this could be a possible purpose for them.
The pictures look ok, but like I said I am new to this so any advice would be great.
Thanks!
