If I get a 1/2 BBL Unitank does that mean the total capacity is 1/2 BBL or will I be able to ferment an entire 15.5 gallons and still have head space?

Thanks,

Depends on the specific fermentor you choose I assume. The cf15 hold 17-18 gallons. 15.5 would leave plenty of headspace. Cheers

Thanks for the replies. I’m getting the SS Brewtech Unitank. I assume it wouldn’t be any different.

Their site does spec it at 15.5 gal operating volume...but doesn’t list an actual volume.

Oddly, the 1bbl tank states 42 gal actual, 31.5 working volume.

Yes, that’s what was confusing me. I guess I’ll need to contact them and ask. Was hoping someone here had one.

Are you wondering about the CF15? It says right on their site that it has an 18 gallon total capacity. Maybe they just added it.
