How did the pumps work out for you?

They work really well. I am happy with them.

what's the hottest temp you've run through them?

I have ran boiling wort through them every brew day for about 15 min once I have reached a boil. I then leave them off until the boil is over. Then I will whirlpool for about 30 min and then shut them off, for the hot break to settle and I am ready to chill. Then I will pump to the fermenter through my plate chiller.

How long does it take you to pump the 5gal?

It is roughly just over a gallon a minute.

What about your recirc? Also, how high are you pushing the liquid?

I will pump it through my 20 plate chiller, and up about 3 foot or so.

Nice setup HDIrOn! You are from my old stomping grounds where I grew up in Mo City. I now live about an hour farther south in Wild Peach.

I also use the 12V pumps on the rig that I am setting up and have not had any problems.

Yeah, they are now. When I got these, they were about $45. If I was to do it over today, I would still buy them just in the non-stainless for about 25 bucks. They are soo quiet, it made my brew day much more enjoyable compared to my March pumps.

I couldn't find what brand of pumps you are using? I was just looking at the Steelhead Pumps on Northern Brewer but those are $179 vs $45 so curious the difference.
