Two topics: new CO2 tank regs and need to clean new manifold

I ordered a new CO2 tank and regulator to add more capacity. Also, I decided to replace my old CO2 lines and manifold with new ones to keep everything clean and fresh. They're about 5 years old.

1. So, I ordered a new 10 lb aluminum tank online. When it arrived, it came with a sheet stating I may have received a newer UN ISO 9809-1 cylinder. I don't think I did, but it's interesting to note that the new regulations are for 10 year test cycles and the markings for fill pressure are in bar, not PSI. Mine has 1800 PSI on it (I think), so I don't think I have one of the newer ones. Has anyone seen/heard this?

2. I bought a new 4-port manifold and was wondering if I need to take this apart and clean it. Will there be metal shavings in it? Does it need to be cleaned with PBW or sanitizer? I never did this with my old one, but now I'm wondering what the state of things are inside.

It depends on where the cylinder was made really. If it is in bar, I am betting Canada The conversion is 1 bar = 14.50 psi

No need to tear the manifold apart to clean, it is not necessary

How about those Devils? 9 and 2, 1st in the Metropolitan division. Best start in club history!! I have been a Devils fan since 1983 and have not missed a game in over 15 years....

I think it's made in the USA. The markings are:
DOT-3AL 1800 CC408582 M5659 08A17 M 10#CO2 T 13.6LB TC-3ALM124 T6.17kg

No indications of place of manufacture. I believe the 08A17 is the date code (August 2017). I think the 1800 means 1800 PSI, correct? No BAR markings.

I talked to Adventures in Homebrewing about the manifold and they told me it's unnecessary to disassemble and clean it. So, I'm good to go!

1800 might be the max PSI? Co2 is only going to be 800 psi at room temp.

1800 is the "service pressure". The typical CO2 cylinder burst disc will blow around 2200 psi...
