Got Trub?
Well-Known Member
I'm stumped. I finished my kegerator 2 weeks ago and based on all the wisdom posted here and elsewhere set it up as a balanced system. I carbonated a keg of German Pils at 12psi @ 40F for 2 weeks. I have tried both a 10ft and 12ft length of 3/16 beer line and no matter what I do I get nothing but foam. I've tried reducing the pressure, I've tried increasing the pressure - no difference. I have noticed that the beer in the line is foaming and after a few minutes half the line is gas
. When pouring you can see it is forming bubbles in the tubing and then as it comes through the faucet it turns completely to foam. Again it doesn't matter if I am using 4psi, 12 psi or 16psi. I noticed that there is a temperature gradient in the freezer from top to bottom so thinking that was the problem I installed a 12V PC fan to circulate the air - no help.
Any thoughts?
Thanks in advance.
