Trellis Upright Question

Good Evening,
I have a question as to whether or not a 1 3/8" galvanized pipe (18 guage) would be a ok as the main support pole for a hop trellis?

Edit: I forgot to mention that my intent is to attach 4 wires to the top from the ground in the shape of square as I tried to denote in the following (H= Hop, CP = Center Post, ignore the dotted lines as they are placeholders):

Should be fine, when I first started I used 1 1/2 pvc in a teepee shape. The bines will have a hard time climbing wires, use some sisal next to the wires.

Should be good but paint it with rustoleum or something to prevent corrosion. Especially the part that is going in the ground.
