All,

I've never brewed a traditional bock before, but am planning to for my next brew. I've put the recipe below together which sounds pretty good to me, however, it's a bit on the light (color) side. I'm looking for suggestions on perhaps darkening it up. Maybe a small Carafa Special addition? Maybe adjust something else? Let me know what you think...I'm open to ideas.

@ 78% efficiency
OG: 1.071

8 lb Weyermann Munich II
2.5 lb Weyermann Vienna
2.5 lb Weyermann Pilsner
0.5 lb Weyermann CaraMunich II

Low 20's IBU using Hallertau

WLP833 Bock

Let me know what your thoughts are.

Thanks!

Looks good, I would probably just add enough carafa to get the SRM up around 17-18 to get that reddish/brown color.
