Damn! Nice box.

You're telling me... he killed it.

Packing material was flying around like it was Christmas morning. Glad I took off early to go get it... funking FedEx guy set it on my very top stair, on display for the whole neighborhood.

Well, @bigperm destroyed my porch. You killed this box man, thank you very much. The Little Fish all sound excellent. There isnt one thing in this box I am not looking forward to. Any wait times on the HB?

Nice! Glad everything made it! I would give the single and the tripel another month, but the others are ready to go and drinking pretty well. The BA RIS and the Quad are well over a year in the bottle. Those are the first bottles released by Little Fish, and they are killing it. Enjoy!

EDIT: Well done with the gratuitous barrel porn. :D

@Bigperm ... what's wrapped around your HB caps? Electrical tape or something?

That's a great idea.

Yes sir. The romantic in me thinks that will prevent leaking. The logical side isn't so sure, but never hurts to try.

I've been doing the same thing in hopes it would stop any minor leaking. Not sure if it actually will, but I'll keep doing it anyways.

The way I've been told to do it (although I usually barely have enough time to box the beer up so I don't) is to:

1. Start wrapping the tape around the top of the bottle with the sticky side out.
2. After a couple of wraps flip the tape around so it ends up sticky side in.
3. After a couple more wraps, tear the tape and fold the end back to make a "tail"

This makes it easy to grab the tail and pull to get the tape off. And the first wraps being done sticky side out keep residue off the bottle. It's called a buddy tail.

your welcome...tl;dr

Ain't nobody got time for that!
Besides, once I send the beer off, the residue from the tape is the recipient's problem, not mine. ;)

I've just been throwing bottles loose in the box and filling it with shredded newspaper and Target bags.

I use painters tape to wrap around caps. I figure those have less residue than electrical tape. Of course, I wrap my bottles in bubble wrap and then vacuum seal them anyway so if they leak, the FedEx people must be playing football with the box.

Your boxes are indestructible. The last time I got one, I just took out my bottles, put more in and changed the labels.

You'd be surprised

Which is your favorite of the Little Fish? I've been seeing them in some shops in Columbus yet, but haven't tried any.

It actually wouldn't surprise me all that much... but does beg the question, why would you go through all the trouble to set up the trade, buy the beer, pay shipping... then take no care whatsoever in packing it up?

That's just disrespectful.

I've received a couple boxes where everything survived and I'm not sure how it was possible. The bottles were just slightly wrapped in newspaper and free to roll around in the box. Then others that were impeccably packed and there were casualties. Kinda crazy. I pack the living crap out of my boxes in hopes that nothing short of FedEx running over the box repeatedly will cause anything to break. Been lucky so far.

I'm pretty careful in packing, but I work in a warehouse, where we ship glass light shades all day long. If I'm short on packing, I have it at my disposal.

I really liked Saison du Poisson. Very well balanced with light oak/funk. Should develop in the bottle very well also.

Was going to ask about the packing. Holy heck! Still waiting on the roasting chamber, so the café is greatly appreciated.

You killed it, thanks! One down already, more to come!

I swear there was more in that box when I lugged it into the office.

Glad it made it, I think a decent hangover remedy should be a standard trade swag.

So, @finsfan decided my porch wasn't up to code. So he bombed it. Damn dude! I don't even know where to start. Above and beyond. Thanks man!

Not pictured: Oktoberfest. Bc I drank it.

Sweet! I already have the Brett brawl in the fridge for tomorrow's brew day!

That one is drinking great right now. I need to put another in the fridge.

I was little worried i had too much in the box even though it was packed well.

I didn't think it would ever end! Thanks!

Man, I'm feeling bad for the dude that had to sell that stuff.

Yeah, he is getting sent to Korea. So not much of an option. He kept a little bit to send to his brother for storage but couldn't hold on to everything.

The BT is a 2013.
