Just got back from a 2 day business trip and found these waiting for me from Remmy.

I got a collection of his "Top Noch" home brews. :D

Finally got some darklord in. Still waiting on a 2012. Has anyone had the 2012? I hear mixed reviews.

Drank a 2012 out of my stash a few weeks ago. I thought it was very good, but I'm a fan of DL in all years. (that said, the Moscatel BA bottle i had the same night as the 2012 was just too sweet.)

Good to hear, thanks. I've heard people saying dark lord is no good no matter what year, and I was getting some traders remorse.

I'm giving up a chocolate rain and some prairie for 2012-2014, just wanted to make sure I wasn't going to regret it.

Those are just the hipster deuchebags saying that because Dark Lord is a craze and not under the radar like it used to be. Those same guys will travel across the country to go to DLD and buy all of their bottles, three just drink them quietly.

I hate reading things like "I poured my 2014 DL down the drain..."

IIRC, Three Floyds suggests six months in the bottle before drinking. I didn't drink any of my 2012 bottles for at least that long and I didn't have any complaints. I can't imagine pouring it down the drain unless you were too drunk to finish it and dumped it the next day when it was flat and oxidized.

There is a lot of residual sugar in Dark Lord in all years. It also has a lot of alcohol and a lot of bitterness to offset it. I realize that even within the RIS style it's not going to be everyone's cup of tea, but it didn't get a cult following for being a bad beer.

Yeah, I'm ultimately looking forward to it.

On one hand, they say beer being released from the brewery is ready to drink. You shouldn't have to wait.

On the other, I waited six months to open a fifty fifty eclipse, and it was delicious. Contrary to what some people suggested, who may have drank them too soon.

Free tails and blue star are brew pubs. Ranger Creek to me is not in a bad location it's in a industrial park.
Rasarios for the best Mexican food and big lou's for pizza. You might have a wait but both are amazing. I'll avoid the river walk. Over crowed and not many good places.

Fina's Kitchen in Hildebrand Ave is an unsung hero.. Run by a family friend of ours.. Unbelievable food... And cheap. But they do operate under bank hours breakfast and lunch only.

Awesome swap with another new yawker mikeysab (I even took a pic in front of my toaster over just like he does...lol). Guy hits it out of the park every time. Everything but the DL's were from him. The DL's are 13/14.
