My in person trade with Drive45. Sure is nice to save on shipping once in a while. The blank bottle is his Westy 12 clone. ImageUploadedByHome Brew1388691980.030594.jpg

Not a trade but I didn't see a beer haul thread here so ….
I lost one bottle, Lagunitas Big Hairy Eyeball (kinda bummed) to the shipping gods but the rest arrived safely. Of course the labels all took a beating too but they'll dry out. Still, beer is safe. :)
That is two bottles of Wookey and Santa's little helper, one to drink and one to cellar.

Is distro over your way really that different than Asheville? Half that stuff is available in WNC.

I suppose so. Saison Rue was $8.99 whereas they want $24 for it here. Therefore, I didn't bother to buy it in NC. Even with shipping, I saved. Wookey I've never seen nor heard of coming my way but I don't exactly have my finger on the pulse of beer news. Maui, Gubna Merlin, etc … nope, not here. Big Bad Baptist was here, I was limited to 1 bottle and it was then gone. The rest either I've never seen or cannot get here.
/shrug Maybe it's my crappy mood but I hope you don't think I'm dumb enough to spend $45 in shipping to ship beers back to myself that I could get here. :( I may be, but I hope not.

Just surprised you can't get lagaunitas (available at ingles in WNC), gubna (brewed in NC also grocery store beer), & bottle limit on the Epic (pretty much always at bottle shop). You already mentioned that Saison Rue was so expensive over your way. That' a couple bucks more than their sour stuff is over my way. Might hafta start road tripping to do your beer shopping. Do you have an account with fedex? If you print your own labels, you'll save some cash.

If you ever want me to goandpickitupformebro I'd be happy to ship you stuff.

If you got that through the interwebs. The company should be cool about refunding you the price of the bottle. My lady got me a a nice pkg of brews from CA for xmas and one of a 4 pk came broken. The company refunded her the entire price of the 4 pack and gave her a 10% coupon for the next time she decides to buy me beer! :rockin:

Good Lord! That Elevated has been haunting me for over a year! I haven't been able to get one since then. It is so gooooooooooood!

I'm glad it got there safely. I literally packed it with random materials I had left over from all the Christmas gifts we bought this year. Of course, I may have been a little 'over protective' of the beer to ensure it got there unscathed. :tank:

Yeah actually I got the FedEx account by your rec. I had definitely never seen gubna, it stuck out like a sore thumb to me in the liquor store where I got it. I actually plan on hitting up Asheville in March. Looking for someone willing to go with me so I don't have to hang out alone, but it's my plan to go there in March. Epic is here but BBB was absolutely limited. In fact, I questioned why and they said distribution was small. In fact, here is a portion of the e-mail sent. I could get 1 bottle of WCMH, BBB, and ******* Brew. So I did that and left the others since the cash register total was already at $90 between trade beer and beer I am drinking. That was the 11/22 e-mail. I wanted Wild at Heart but it was gone when I got there.

It was certainly packed very well. not a chance of anything breaking, even was much as they throw packages around!

Nah, I picked these all out while back home and shipped to myself back to NC. FedEx was super funny about it saying they wouldn't make it without 3" of bubble wrap around every bottle. that told me at least one wouldn't survive. I can get it back home again, but I was bummed all the same.

You're not planning to cellar a Wookey are you?
Well, I was planning on one bottle to drink and one to cellar. Is it not a beer that I would cellar?
I hope she yells at you, too!

Hey I didn't yell at you! I think the last two exchanges we've had I kind of felt like you just figured I was kind of dumb. I mean I can be, but sometimes I'd like to think I'm not super dumb.

Definitely don't cellar Wookey Jack. It is an IPA after all. Drink it now. I mean, right now. If you're reading this response and you don't have it poured in a glass already you're doing it wrong. :D

Don't worry about Gabe. He likes to try to make everyone feel dumb and beneath him. Especially if you don't share the same limited taste in beer as him or if you don't tell him that his homebrew was the best thing you've ever tasted. ;)

I just received these. I can't wait to try them all! Thanks ivegot2legs! View attachment 169967

Alesmith IPA is one of my favorites!

I just went into the liquor station to grab some tank 7's but I found this lonely beauty sitting on the shelves! Now its sitting with friends on my shelves :D
