Makes a big difference. Most are just a shrouded fan with a tube to direct the air flow. Make sure the tube is cut at an angle to keep the end from being restricted. One more thing that I was apprehensive about was adding a tower jacket. It's like a wet suit. It increased the insulation. Hope that helps.
