Hey everyone! Very new here!

My girlfriend just bought me a keg fridge for my birthday and I have been chekin out home brewing. I thought this would be the best place to ask. Are there any videos literally walking me through step by step on brewing? I have found a few but they talk about how they are doing more advanced stuff I just want the bare basics first time kinda thing. Also where would I get all the stuff to brew? I have only 2 "You brews" in town and they dont sell anything to do it at home just at their store. Can I get this stuff at grocery stores or mainly just online? I really want to learn the steps and what happens during those steps and why ect.. Anyway any links to videos or some threads would be great! ill keep peeking around the forums reading.

Look for videos on extract brewing which is the most basic and most peoples' starting point. In addition to watching videos, I would suggest you buy: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B009DH2PP4/?tag=skimlinks_replacement-20

You cannot get your ingredients at the market, but there are lots of stores online to choose from. Just look at the sponsors of this website and you will find what you need in terms of basic kits which will include the equipment you need as well as the ingredients to brew with. Good luck and enjoy the hobby/obsession.

I would check out the beginners guide to making home brew on youtube.
Some things you could get at a grocery store but some you will deff need to get online if you do not have a local home brew store.
Northern Brewer and Midwest supplies have a lot of great stuff at decent pricing. Those sites also sell recipe kits with all the ingredients you need (grains, hops, extract, yeast) for a batch. Those will have easy instructions to follow also.

Well I started out with a mrbeer and then went with northern Brewers 1gallon extract kit. I am now doing Brooklyn brew shops one gallon all grain kit. If I had to do it all over again I would have started with the all grain kit. If you want to start small and see how it is, I would order a one gallon Brooklyn brew shops kit. To get the basics down. Now if you want to start off kegging then Northern Brewer makes some nice five gallon starter kits.

Here is Brooklyn Brewshops starter video: [ame]https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=CH5eN6pVK1A[/ame]

Northern Brewer also has videos on the five gallon kits: [ame]https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=6vIlabJkywE[/ame]

And pick up this book: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0937381888/?tag=skimlinks_replacement-20

Highly recommend getting a copy of Charlie Papazian's book The Complete Joy of Home Brewing. It's an easy read and it's loaded with good how to info that will help you out whether you're brewing extract, mini mash, or all grain.

Have to second the Mad Home Brewer about northernbrewer.com. Their customer service is top notch and they have almost everything you'll ever need. I bought my entire brewing setup through those guys.

Good luck and happy brewing!

IMO, just google and look for homebrew suppliers close to where you live. If you cannot find anything in there, let us know the city you live in and more then one member of tge community will suggest you an LHBS.
As for learning the basics, I started with John Palmers book ( http://www.howtobrew.com/intro.html ) that is free online. It is very worth it. You can even support them by buying the book if you like it
