Too Much 2 Row

Screwed up conversion on grain bill and have too much 2 row in my milled mix of grain. Realized after it was all mixed. Think I should cut the grain mix back to the total weight for the proper conversion so the gravity comes back to target? This mix is projected 13% abv, and I was aiming for around 8.5%.

I'm confused, is the the above what grains you actually have or is that the original recipe? If that's what you actually have you must be planning like a 3 gal batch if you're expecting 13+% from it? If that's just the target recipe and not what you actually have can you post those amounts?

Correct, its a 3 gallon biab.

I've tried adding top up water in the app, but its not adjusting my final volume and gravity.

Got it. So the percentages are correct, you just got the grainbill for a 5 gal batch? I assume this is a Belgian dark strong of some sort, the percentages seem reasonable as is - it certainly doesn't seem like you have too much pilsner at any rate. If that's the case just use 3/5 of the grain.

Yes, Belgian Dark Strong. "Grandmas Prune Cake", haven't added spices to the recipe app yet. Thanks for the help, will scale back the grains a bit.

Expecting it to be a little lower than the 1.084. If not I'll just top it off to bring it down.

Topped off to 3 gallons and 1.073 OG. Bubbling away in the fermenter. Should finish off nicely.
