Hey guys, I just racked an IPA over to a keg. I let the keg soak with a PBW mixture (all the way to the very brim of the keg), rinsed it, then transferred almost a full keg's worth of Star-San to the keg, pressurized it, and pumped it out through the tap. After I sealed it up, I realized that I forgot to invert the keg while it was sealed and contained Star-San. There was only about an inch of untouched stainless in the keg.
Should I be worried about an infection?
Do infections propogate slower at refrigerated temperatures?

What was the condition of the keg before PBW and star San? Recently finished beer or old mold ?

You should be fine. Although cooling/freezing won't kill bacteria, the alcohol in the beer should. As long as it wasn't used as a spittoon or urinal before filling you'll probably be alright.

You should be fine. In the past 2 years, I quit taking down posts and whatnot on my corneys... I do get all surfaces touched with star san though. I just fill it half way with sanitizer, roll the kegs for a few min, drain out of the "out"port to sanitize the dip tube, then drain and use when ready. No infections in 100+
batches.

I will confess that I have done this.

The keg was clean when you pulled your last beer out of it and it was full of co2. If it is still sealed up just put more beer in and put it on gas.

How well do you clean your glass between pours?
