Our first batch of cider will be ready very soon, what type of bottles can we use? we have been collecting 750ml wine bottles and purchased new corks, now i am hearing that using beer bottles are better. are wine bottles ok? any suggestions?

Personally I'd use wine bottles, in my limited experience there is no difference between bottles...beer bottles lend the convenience of 12oz-ers and bombers, but wine bottles may be better if your sharing with friends....its all preference

If you're not carbonating, you can use any bottles you choose. If you ARE carbonating the cider, you must use either beer bottles and caps or champagne bottles and cages. (Corks would blow out, plus wine bottles aren't designed to hold pressure).

I'd do a mix- some 12 ounces, some 22 ounces, some 750 ML, etc, since a wine bottle is a LOT of cider to drink at one sitting!
