So I've had this idea that will most likely cause a lot of flak but here it goes anyways..
I am about to brew three all grain batches within a two week period (I like to space them out instead of brewing them all at once).
I batch sparge and the last time that I made a batch and my wort was boiling I went to dump my grains in the garden and realized that the bit of liquor still in the mash tun had drawn a lot from the grains.
What I am hoping to do is batch sparge a second time after I have collected my wort for original brews and keep it. Do that three times and mix my "third runnings". I would then boil it, add hops and honey and make braggot.
Now the issue is whether the collected wort from the first batch to the third will be about 2 weeks apart. If I use a sanitzed carboy and air lock can I store it in my fridge to keep it? It will be boiled when I add hops and honey so I figured it would be ok. Thoughts?
I know this would be an extreme "bastard" beer as I like to call it but thought I'd try it. FYI. The 3 batches are an IPA, Dead Frog Clone and an Innis and Gunn Clone.
