thick wort

went to my local homebrew shop and was helped by one of their experts, he helped me put together my ryePA partial mash recipe. my question is why is my wort so thick? did we fail to discuss my boil amount? should i worry? final reading was 1.05

How are you figuring this out w/o knowing the final gravity, or are you just making a guess that it'll all ferment?

It's safe to assume a 75% attenuation in a case like this.
