I have read a bunch of posts at HBT and it seems that other than the Thermapen these two are the most suggested. I have not ever seen a direct comparison between them.
I also am interested in a probe style thermometer that can beep an alarm when it reaches a certain temperature. These would also be nice b/c I could just leave it in the center of my mash tun when mashing and see my temps. I was looking at this one. Does anyone here have much experience with it? The reviews on Amazon say the newer models come with a waterproof probe. Is it very accurate though?
