We talked about this in person but I loved it. Delicious beer and IMO the best SS has made so far.

Oh yeah definitely better than Pro Am.Better than Pro Am? If so, I need to find it.

Austin folks: what Heavy Machinery and Greenhouse beers are on the shelves these days?

Double IPA was last released 3/5/14 according to my untappd history. I still have one can from that batch that I'm holding for science. Can't wait for its return!Remind me when the Half IPA is released?
I believe Double IPA is next and then Half so sometime in June/July?
Double IPA was what I had in mind when asking, I recalled that being around this time last year and would've been great to pick that up. I barely missed the falconer's flight Greenhouse sadly.Double IPA was last released 3/5/14 according to my untappd history. I still have one can from that batch that I'm holding for science. Which batch was falconers flight? 14?Double IPA was what I had in mind when asking, I recalled that being around this time last year and would've been great to pick that up. I barely missed the falconer's flight Greenhouse sadly.
Last year's but...Which batch was falconers flight? 14?
Double IPA should be out next. Late March/early April. Half will be May/June.
But seriously **** Half IPA. I'm all about Warmonger nowadays. That's literally the best Pale Ale ever made in TX and needs to be a year-round, damnit.
Warmonger is Peacemaker... but dry hopped with Citra. What is this you speak of. Half IPA is fantastic.
All the Heavy Machinery releases are canned and pop up sporadically on draft around town, but if you are asking how fresh the newest release is it has been out for several weeks already. I'm unsure of the exact release date.Is there fresh heavy machinery that i can get in growler or other package?
I've quit bothering with growlers when in Austin since the places who do them aren't good about updating draft lists online and I'm not aware of anywhere doing counter pressure fills, unless that's changed? That sounds pretty damn good so I'd like to get a fill.Warmonger is Peacemaker... but dry hopped with Citra.
Dat Citra, bro.
It's been on tap a bunch lately around town.
Best bet would be the Draught House, Whole Foods or Craft Pride. Draught House uses Taplister for their beer screens, so it's usually the most accurate listing in town. WFM seems to be updating their Taphunter listing often, but I'd check with them on the phone.I've quit bothering with growlers when in Austin since the places who do them aren't good about updating draft lists online and I'm not aware of anywhere doing counter pressure fills, unless that's changed? Growler Room updates their draft list almost every day, but you have to go to the About section on their facebook page. They also don't sell fliptop growlers and complain if you ask to fill those, which is annoying as anything else is prone to leaking.Best bet would be the Draught House, Whole Foods or Craft Pride. The only place in town I know of that does counter pressure is Central Market... they generally only have "shelf" beers on tap though (Live Oak Hef, 512 Pecan Porter, Revolver Blood & Honey and prolly most common).
Cuvee Coffee Bar does Crowlers, but as far as I know, they don't publish a list online.
It pisses me off that the Growler Room locations are still filling by tap (and are more expensive than most to boot!).

I've never thought about filling a growler at the Draught House - will they do a fill of anything on their board? Do you just pay the price of two/four pints or is it cheaper?
Pinthouse Pizza does growler fills of anything on tap, including guest beers. You have to bring your own growler if you want anything other than 64oz though.
Whole Foods actually lists prices for Arbor Trails on Taphunter. True story.I won't go to Growler Room anymore because they are ******** and overcharge They bitch about filling narrow top growlers or 750ml growlers(I ain't doing no ******* math, I'll charge you for 32oz). To be fair I am specifically speaking about the dreadlocked guy at the Burnet location. I am done with them.
Draught House. Pinthouse, Whole Foods are my go tos. Some place needs to get on the system that Lone Star Tap & Caps and Lakewood Growler have in Dallas. Real time taplist including how much is left in the keg. Only thing lacking is the price.
Yeah, thats true. I find the tap hunter app a little annoying but it does have real time tap list and pricing(at least for Arbor Walk). For some reason I thought I've seen vague taps listed like "Real Ale Seasonal" but I have no proof and it could have been 2 years ago.Whole Foods actually lists prices for Arbor Trails on Taphunter. I haven't filled at Draught House in a while, but I don't remember them being too overpriced. Whole Foods does a discount on Sunday's too ($2 off 64oz, iirc)
Yeah Draught House isn't expensive, and they just fill from the tap so gotta drink the beer fast. Crowlers at Cuvee sounds like the way to go though, I'm definitely gonna do that. But yeah it's surprising that there's still no one with Digital Pour (that's the real time stuff bentwookie mentioned) and counter pressure over there.Whole Foods actually lists prices for Arbor Trails on Taphunter.
