This comment led to me calling around and scoring a cinnamon variant. Thanks!
Hey SD folks. Have a non-beer question that I was hoping someone might be able to help out with:
My wife and I have a friend in the hospital in La Jolla and we were hoping to send her a gift basket of some kind (maybe with a bottle of wine, some snacks etc.). Does anyone happen to know of a place down there that might do something like that (and deliver it)?
Asked my wife as she is big gift giver, especially if someone is in the hospital, and she suggested calling (or checking if they have a website) the gift shop at the hospital. Though they might not have wine.
Being able to buy Coconut B-Bomb in San Diego is pretty ****** rad.
I'm also pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoy Melvin beer.
That's good, because I prefer CC to Coconut.Buy it while you can, Coconut B-Bomb got super limited distro apparently. CC B-Bomb got a bit wider release, which is lovely.
Its seriously god damn nuts, and ******* my wallet hard core in the process. All the stouts and barleywines. GimmehThe amount of good beer that has hit shelves in the last month is completely absurd.
It's pretty ridiculous. I completely forgot that we received Superstition stuff too. A trip to the bottle shop is ******* ludicrous lately. The amount of good beer that has hit shelves in the last month is completely absurd.
Can't you just do that stupid traffic school thing?I'm on hiatus while I figure out if I need to pay a speeding ticket. Bad ******* timing...
That's just to avoid insurance increase, you still have to pay the fine. Can't you just do that stupid traffic school thing?
Traffic school just keeps it off your record so your insurance doesn't bend you over further. Pay the ticket then pay the extortion of traffic school. Which now you can now do online while drinking. Can't you just do that stupid traffic school thing?
Last time I did traffic school I was able to waive the ticket fee - or pay a minimal $20 fee or something. Shrug - been too long.Traffic school just keeps it off your record so your insurance doesn't bend you over further. Pay the ticket then pay the extortion of traffic school. Must have been a very long time. You pay the full ticket, plus you pay $60 for the right to got to traffic school, then you pay for and take the BS course.Last time I did traffic school I was able to waive the ticket fee - or pay a minimal $20 fee or something. Shrug - been too long.
Ticket cost + traffic school cost = $$$$$$$$Can't you just do that stupid traffic school thing?
Does the lawyer thing ever actually work though?Ticket cost + traffic school cost = $$$$$$$$
Paying for a lawyer to get it dismissed = potentially half as much money
The CHP exists to generate revenue for the state - full stop.Damn you guys are right - California loves their ticket money.
I'm a simple man. I see Hedge Witch, I approve. The CHP exists to generate revenue for the state - full stop.
Sorry, lets get back on topic. Ghost Train is like version two of Hedge Witch, which was my favorite can from MT this year. Two of these will get you nice and toasty.
speeding ticket.
How fast were you going? The CHP exists to generate revenue for the state - full stop.
So long as it wasn't a DUI. What did you do where a lawyer should be involved? I've had 2 spending tickets in CA. 1 I earned and 1 was a case of the One-Armed Man and I got a ticket for some other *******'s speeding.Ticket cost + traffic school cost = $$$$$$$$

Sounds to me like you were going 89 in a 65. Please think of the children next time. Always drive safe and have a Merry Christmas!Ticket was for 90 in a 65. No way I was going 90
Your excuse: IBS and you had to poop. Doctors orders.Ticket was for 90 in a 65. No way I was going 90 in my rickety-ass ****** Honda Fit, but whatever. That's a $500 ticket, plus it's on your record, plus points. You can pay a lawyer $200-ish to get it dismissed usually, but it depends. So we'll see.
To keep it on topic... BA Maple Monsters Park is pretty good. I think it sounds a lot better than it actually is - any sweeter would be too sweet.
That doesn't work when you're 20 miles in to a 75 mile commute.Your excuse: IBS and you had to poop. Doctors orders.
The keg they did at the Carnival of Caffeination that also had coffee was markedly better. Another adjunct - specifically one that brings bitterness - seemed to help provide balance and allow the maple character to shine more as flavor than sweetness. Still a good beer but I'm excited to see bottles of maple/coffee for the ToLC next year.To keep it on topic... BA Maple Monsters Park is pretty good. I'd like to see a Nitro DT with Maple Coffee on nitro...The keg they did at the Carnival of Caffeination that also had coffee was markedly better.
