Someone posted on SD Beer Friends about trying Nelson at the source for nostalgia purposes and the Nelson was as good as it's ever been.

Pat replied: "Sorry it took us three years to dial it in, but it's back and I couldn't be happier."

It's got me wanting to make a trip up the hill now.
****** hell, why does Nelson always have to be such a ******* rollercoaster of emotions.

If this is true and there is only *one batch then the stuff at GF would be legit?

Someone go get me a growler so I can bring it up to FWIBF...

All this talk has me wondering if I should go over to GF or not. Would only be the 2nd time I ever stepped foot in there, but if I can get replica OG Nelson it might be worth it.

Look: Legit Nelson

Smell: Legit Nelson

Mouthfeel: Soft, a bit softer/smoother than OG. Very nice.

Taste: Slightly more pronounced flavors over my memory of OG. That was around 3000 beers ago though. The correct flavors, just more distinct. Spicier, more grapefruity. Finish is a quick bitter kick. Delicious.

Honestly, if I didn't know I'd say it was made up there. As good as any 'average' OG batch which means stellar. Will be buying till it is gone, wouldn't rather have anything else right meow.

Need benbikes4beer to confirm.

Sorry I suck, I ain't no Xul putting palate to paper.

The more into the glass I get the more I think she's back guys.

This is my favorite post in quite some time.

Well ****, looks like I need to go to Green Flash for the first time in forever. I don't even remember where it is.
Can we confirm it's same/same? I went to the Alpine tasting room.

Curious to hear if others agree. I drank a shitload of OG....not benbikes4beer status but still...
